Gloria Arendz-Theiler grew up in Elsies River, Cape Town, in a home built by her father's hands and shaped by her parents' values, empathy, respect, and the belief that hard work always pays off.
At 18, she made history as South Africa's first beautician of colour, navigating Apartheid with grace and determination. That spirit fuelled a 30-year business partnership with her brother, renowned fashion designer Errol Arendz, placing them at the heart of South African fashion and culture.
Today, Gloria splits her life between Camps Bay and Zurich. She is a mother, a grandmother, a businesswoman, and now, an author.

From the humble streets of Elsie's River in Apartheid-era South Africa to the mountains of Switzerland and the coastlines of home, Glorious…Unbroken is Gloria Arendz-Theiler's deeply personal memoir, part legacy for her family, part testament to courage. With honesty and warmth, she traces a life of remarkable firsts, hard-won success, painful loss, and ultimately, profound renewal.
